And you STILL got the revive off, nice! We've seen reports on this when it hits the ground at specific angles. We had another post on this here. Thanks for raising it to us, we'll get this tracked down for the team.

I had about 10 smokes not deploy THIS morning alone.... Got me killed most of those times... Since you know the issue - maybe you can fix it?

BFV is a hot pile of bugs still.

Summarize your bug When using the smoke grenade launcher, on occasion the smoke grenade with strike the ground and not create a cloud of smoke at all.
How often does the bug occur? Occasionally (10% - 49%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? There is no solution that can be done.
What happens when the bug occurs? The grenade doesn’t create a cloud of smoke as it should, when this happens I die due to lack of cover and fail to revive teammates without the cover of smoke. This mostly occurs when I fire it at my feet of close to them, but sometimes it happens when I fire it elsewhere.
What should be happening instead? It should create a cloud of smoke regardless of where I fire it (water being the obvious expectation)

The smoke grenade launcher doesn’t work as needed. It doesn’t create a smoke cloud, mostly when being fired in close proximity to the player and when fired away from the player but less often. It almost always doesn’t when I aim it my characters feet. This is getting me killed and preventing me from getting revives I could have easily gotten under the cover of smoke.
