Sims sharing a seat after latest update

Until last night, I haven't played the sims 4 in a few weeks. However, last night I purchased the sims 4 outdoor retreat (I might add, it is overpriced!) and downloaded the last two updates. Upon playing I noticed some game play glitches I would like to report:

First, after calling the family to a meal, they sit at the kitchen bar and apparently like to sit on each others laps. (A glitch where the sims are merged on a shared bar stool) And when trying to clean up said dishes, they refuse, even in a good mood. It takes me at least 3 times to direct them to clean the dishes and they keep placing them down, leaving piles of dishes on the floor resulting in a dirty surroundings moodlet. It does allow me to clean the dishes, but it takes quite a few tries.

I also have a question that is completely off topic:

I am playing a sims 4 Legacy Challenge game and one of the requirements is to memorialize the founder and each heir. There is a few ways to do this, however I am wondering if there is a way for a sims to paint a portrait of another sim. My sim currently has a painting skill level of 8 and i cant seem to find a way to do this. I remember being able to do this in the sims 3. Is there a way to do this or is there a possibility of this game play being added to the game later? I realize there is other ways to memorialize them, but i would much rather paint them as i find the other options inconvenient

3. There might be a mod for that. You're probably better of asking that at the official forum
