Sims own paintings don't count for painter aspiration-25 paintings on display

My sim is working on the painter extraordinaire-Brushing with Greatness aspiration and is required to have 25 paintings on display in her home. She has her own paintings in her inventory but when I place them on the walls they don't count towards the 25 required. Only the ones purchased from the catalog count. Not sure if this is a bug or intentional but it seems that her own artwork should count. Thanks

They count for me, can you try if they count if you put them from the easel directly to the wall ? Maybe it's a problem for paintings place from inventory.
