Sims don't cancel action until completed or mood fills up, please Help!

I am having this really annoying bug with my game where my sim does not cancel an action until her mood fills up or she is done doing the action (example: dishes, painting, sleeping etc) it gets really annoying as my sim will sometimes be doing a long action before work and they would become late, I took out all my custom content(I don't use Mods but clothing, hair, skins) but the problem persists, I can't find anyone with the same problem so I am asking can someone please help me resolve this annoyance?

Edit: I just resolved the issue with origin all I did was repair the game through my origin library and it seemed to fix the problem! Hope this might help someone with a similar problem as I wish I knew this sooner.
