What happens when the bug occurs? There is no particular problem with the game, but it is uncomfortable to see.
What do you expect to see? sims wakes up on a chair, sofa when using a mobile phone while watching TV on a TV stand. This does not apply to wall-mounted TVs.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Never used.

@specialside I'm afraid I have troubles understanding what you mean.

You mean other Sims wake up from napping when you use the TV ?

Could you maybe add a video/picture ?

sims sits on the couch -> sims watch tv when the tv is on an object(not wall-mounted tv) -> uses cell phone ->sims wakes up from the couch. inability to sit.

conclusion : sims cannot watch tv and use a mobile phone at the same time while sitting on the couch.
