Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Since task resetting bug tends to occur during long tasks (ie a few hours) you could try setting a sim to the task & closing the game, then returning after a bit.

The task resetting bug usually occurs when a task takes a few hours. Not work related tasks. The kind you set a sim to, then leave for a bit. On two occasions I've had to use SimCash to get past the task. I've only seen this happen in Wumples Quests when treasure quests are also active.
Also, adds fail to work most of the time when a treasure quest is active. That means no bonus after work & no point checking the mailbox. Most of my problems occur when a treasure quest is active or just finished. I don't know if Smallfry & Wumples don't get along or what, but they need to straighten themselves out.
