Sim "Hurley" is there but everything is gone;/

Put my created Sim"Hurley" in the showcase got her out of the showcase, library and found I have to start all over again with her. i.e. home, skills, career and money it all gone:/ But the Sim is there but nothing else. I took her out of showcase, library cause I wanted to play with her but now I cant?

I don't think skills and stuff transfer if you put them in the library. It's a fresh copy with nothing.
