How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Marry a Sim into family, Move In, and the glitch began.
What do you expect to see? A normal, editable Sim.

The Sim is not editable, will not progress in game, and looks like a strange blob.
That blob really looks weird! Haven't seen this before.
Best thing for now would be to contact an EA game advisor about this issue.
You can do so through The Sims Mobile app. Open the side menu, choose the gear icon, then the button with 'Help'.
This will open your browser, scroll down until you see 'Contact Us' and choose 'Technical Support'.
