What happens when the bug occurs? I have a 144hz monitor. I can play in 1440p144hz. but when I change the resolution in-game to 1080p it sets my refresh rate to 120hz.
What should be happening instead? The refreshrate should stay to what you had it set to in windows, or be set to the maximum.
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? With monitors that can go HIGHER than 120hz: Open the Nvidia control panel on a second monitor to the "Change Resolution page" Make sure it says you are running at over 120hz. Keep an eye on the refresh rate as you open apex/set the resolution to 1080p.

I've tested this on an Acer XG270HU, a Reddit used experiencing the same issue found my thread. He has an Acer XF270HU. Despite the similarity in monitors, I do not think it has anything to do with this issue.

This only happens in Apex. I've also tested for this issue in both Overwatch, GTA V, and CSGO.

Heres a video of me Reproducing the bug. https://giant.gfycat.com/SeparateGrimyHarrierhawk.mp4
