Roommates' changing Preferences

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Have some roommates and play a household as normal.
What happens when the bug occurs? Pop ups will say something like, "Isn't it time to admit that Bob Smith likes dancing?" Or "Should Amy Dhar accept the fact that she hates Hip Hop?" And I choose Yes or No. With family members, this is normal. But it also does it with roommates. Like, "Holy crap! Your roommates likes Photography!" And I'm like, "Okay......... so?"
What do you expect to see? I expected to only see notifications about the changing Likes and Dislikes of Sims who are actually in my family--not the roommates, too. I mean... good for them if they suddenly hate Writing, but I don't need to know about it.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Never used.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? No

Notifications for all my roommates' new Likes and Dislikes pop up too.  And it should just be for the Sims who are actually a part of my family.
