Reaper's Rewards Computer Freezes on Load Screens

What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? Everything but Modern Menswear
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Try going from one world to another, or one residence to another, or to plan outfits, or back to main menu to load a different save...anything that requires a load screen. This occurs after maybe 30 minutes of gameplay.
What happens when the bug occurs? Computer freezes, as computer memory gets tied up.
What do you expect to see? To be able to transition smoothly between actions that require the endless load screens without memory leaks.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.

Every time I have to go to a load screen (between worlds, between lots, etc.) my computer freezes up because the memory in my computer is pegged, and I have to task kill the game. There's no other way to exit. This just started with the Reaper's Rewards. It's leaking/hogging memory for some reason, after only about 30 minutes of gameplay.

Same. I removed all of my mods and cleared my cache, but it still constantly freezes and when I reload a save it starts the event from the beginning.

I have also been having issues with the game freezing at loading, I started having issues when the Reaper Event started. I even got to the point that I uninstalled and re-installed the EA App and the Sims 4 games, and I still can't get in. I get to the starting screen, and when I click options or new game the screen goes white and I have to restart my computer.

Mine froze on loading today. It does sometimes freeze when I have been playing a while and two events coincide too closely, like a club meeting and then an invitation out, which is understandable. But last night one of my houses froze three times and I had to move out the sim family, and today, my main house froze while loading the reaper rewards tab. It actually froze with the reaper reward things half loaded, so I'm sure that was the reason. This house is normally fine with no issues and no mods or CC.

So I've been having some vague issues with 'drama scheduler' LE coming up, it seems to prevent NPC calls. 
I've tried everything, and it seemed to do just that and nothing else. 
Now with the week 3 Reaper event I'm having it and now my sims are just sitting there and I can't switch between them or exit the game. Going to manage worlds gets stuck in a loading screen loop. Memory says 72%. I have to open task manager and quit that way. Earlier it wouldn't even do that and I had to shut my whole PC down. It wouldn't even go out of the game with the windows key anymore. 
I did used to have mods and now still using Better exceptions, but I've removed them, all LE files as well, deleted Local thumbnail cache numerous times, repaired the game 4x. 
If I start a new save it seems fine so far, but I'm doing the Reaper event with the other save and afraid that it won't check off if I use a new save. 
I've never really had issues like this. I also turned off phone calls and ditched the families rental units, but It hasn't improved. Even made it worse it seems. Certainly if in game events like Xmas happen the game throw's a lot of LE's around and the game freezes. Seems the Reaper event running alongside other events might cause issues? 
So far it's really not been worth it. The previous event went without a hitch so idk why they changed it to something so intrusive as well. It's always there now, on the screen. And I think it's not doing the game any good.

Four weeks on and still no patch to fix this event, which will be over in about 2 weeks. I hate having to start the entire event over with a brand new Sim (who I have to train up all over again to be able to do some of the quests). Is there no news on this, or are those of us that are having problems with this just out of luck?
