Rank resetting to Rookie / Users gaining 0 RP [ Edited ]

Where did the issue occur? In the lobby (waiting area before the match)

What were you doing when the issue occurred? E.g. respawning a squad mate at a beacon, using an ability, a squad mate left the game. Checking the rank in the main menu

How often does the bug occur? Often (50% - 99%)
How severe is your issue? Major impacts to gameplay
What happens when the bug occurs? Users are demoted to the wrong rank
What should be happening instead? Users should have the correct amount deducted from their rank so they're placed in the proper division.
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Not sure, some accounts might be affected, some might not be.

Updates on the situation will most likely be posted in this thread.
Alternatively you can track the issue on the Trello board. (Though note that the board doesn't get updated that often)

Just make sure to check this thread every now and then for official responses by EA Community Managers.
They'll try to communicate any relevant information to you guys.
If they need any information they'll ask you guys in this thread, so please make sure to provide the information they request where possible.

Please do keep all posts civil and respectful and make sure to adhere to the User rules & Guidelines on AHQ.
I'd also recommend not to tag any EA Community Managers unless they've instructed you to do so, you can imagine that these mass tags can flood their inboxes. (And mine)
(If they have any new information they'll update us, there's no need to ping them as they've already acknowledged this issue in this thread)

I'll update the main thread if anything is required, though you guys will most likely get most information from the Community Managers.

Hi, for clarity I'll repost the tweet from before again. 

The actual rank loss should no longer happen, but there can be a visual rank loss, where you're told you deranked but didn't actually. 

Also there will be an RP restoration for those affected.

Edit: The restoration was applied. However if you have progressed past our previous position you won't be reset as this would roll you back.

I went from plat4 to rookie 4. Sucks for everyone who wants to start playing this game. I hope they have fun getting sent back to the lobby.

Can confirm. I got reset down to gold. played 3 games and then rookie 4 all of a sudden. Was d4 last season. After spending $160 on new skins this is extremely frustrating.

Same thing happened to me I ended masters last split. When I first launched it showed platnium 2 but when I queued for my first ranked match it showed me in rookie 4.

I do also get this bug, in the previous season i was plat 3 and  then when the season 16 start i go for ranked and see that it soft-reset me to silver but after i played 2 games it demoted me to rookie 4. haha really confusing

Same problem, went from Diamond 4 to Rookie 4, got my Diamond animated badge and trail but still starting off from rookie 4

I updated the game and my Rank is set to Rookie 4 even do i was Diamond 4 last season, got my animated Diamond badge, and my Diamond trail, for last season, but now i am stuck ranking up from Rookie 4 instead of Gold 2.

Any fix for this issue?

@XHelperZ Same thing, last season went d4 after patch I get gold 2 after a couple games I get rookie 4. Is this a new respawn joke?
