Platinum IV rank and Silver IV rank at the same time

What happens when the bug occurs? I was trying to play a ranked match with a friend, I haven't played any ranked games since the beginning of season 7. During the last day of season 6 I reached Platinum IV in ranked. Today (Friday 7/11) when I tried to play ranked, on the bottom left side it shows that I am Silver IV but next to my name (above the character's head) it shows that I am Platinum IV even though at the beginning of the season I got the message saying that I will start season 7 as Silver IV. I have not dared to play ranked ever since I discovered this bug. When I tried to play with my friend (who is Silver) I got a message saying there was a big difference in ranks that is when I realized what was happening. And as I said, I have not tried playing while this bug is happening. You can check the games I played to make sure, so please don't ban me.
What should be happening instead? I should Silver IV instead of Platinum IV

It's a bug that's been happening since they introduced the Splits mechanic. Playing 1 ranked game, finishing it and then going back to lobby puts you in the correct rank regardless if you gain or lose points.

Have you tried playing ranked? If you did, did you rank up as Silver or Platinum?
