[PS4] Purchase books option is not showing up on the bookshelf! [ Edited ]

How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? I don't know
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? none
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? I barely noticed after this update that my sim cant purchase any new books he needs gardening level 4 & all i could find is bookshelfs at the library with all level 1 only
What happens when the bug occurs? the purchase books option does not appear
What do you expect to see? the purchase books option
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Never used.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes

After this update I barely noticed that the purchase books option is not showing up on Sims 4 for PS4 !

I tried searching it up online already and no solutions to this problem are available please help!

@Claudette90g About your version number: Is your game all updated ? If so, you have probably version 1.17

Here's instructions how to find it: Console/PC/Mac: Open cheat console, enter version. Top line will be the version.

Would be great if you can edit that in.

Does it happen on all bookshelves in your house ? If not, what happens if you buy a new one ? Do you have the same issue in all households or just one ? Did you move houses with the faulty household ?
