[Fixed] Sims dwarf and crashes after promoting Sim

I found that when I retired my Sims and promoted a new one I got this screen:
Where I clicked play, and altered my Sim after giving her a trait, resulting in the blob:
It does go away with restarting the game.

I have been experiencing this issue for several weeks. Promoted sims turn into dwarves. The button to return to the game is gone. Then I have to force close the app. The promoted sim is a normal playable character and the game is fully synced when I open the game again.

Squishy sims are still a thing....

Hopefully someone is looking into this as it’s a game breaker, it literally freezes the game each time and you need to terminate the app and swipe it away in order to reopen the game to play it.

Mine does the same thing. The last Sim I retired also reappeared without any trait progress. This game is getting so frustrating.

Me too, earlier today. It resolved when I hard-reset my game. On going back into the game I was taken immediately to the 'Change Appearance' screen for the newly promoted, squashed Sim. I was able to edit it him from there and carry on with the process as normal.

I have this issue 100% when promoting a sim. It will make them short then I cannot click anywhere to exit. I have to close the app entirely then it will go to customizing them. I didn’t get a chance to record when I clicked promote, it would glitch then ask if I wanted to promote again, then makes them small.
I had the issue prior to the latest update and possibly predating multiple updates. I've been able to continue simply by pressing my back button rather than needing to force close.
