Additional feedback
Hello. Every time my sims try to interact with a toddler using the high chair, bed or potty it shows that the objects are locked and it says I need a child. The only sims that can use those objects are the parents.
All my sims can do the A Real Handful event with the toddler, and use those objects while completing the event, but they can’t use the items outside the event.

This is a Sim I moved in and become a member of the household. She is not related to the toddler but they can have a family event. This is normal.
Neither the high chair, the bed or the potty can be used by this Sim. Only the parents or siblings can use these items.

@SalixCat what's this an adoptive child? I ask this because I had an adoptive child and I could not get any good upbringing traits on the child so I age them up and kicked them out when they turned into an adult. I'm not going to make another adoptive child again.

@givememore86 no, it's not an adoptive child. I wouldn't like to have Sims without good upbringing either.
This bug is not letting a Sim I moved in use objects with a toddler.

@SalixCat & @gmartins84 did you guys see this issue again?
November 2019
It’s still happening. I have a toddler right now and the father can use the objects to interact with the toddler, but my other sims, that are not related to the toddler, can’t.

The issue is partially fixed. I could make a toddler use the potty 🤣 The option is available for the father. Haven't tried with another playable Sim.
