[Open] Ancient elder NPCs don't disappear

All the npc characters in my game are elders. The workers at all the jobs, everyone around town, all of them. There are no npc characters for my sims to marry. It is making it hard to progress in the game. How do I fix this?

I have been told of a possible workaround that has worked for some. I haven't tried it yet. 

Complete a confrontational relationship with a coworker. 

The coworker will be leave and be replaced by a young NPC. Maybe it works?

So, it seems this bug has been here forever. I just let these NPC elders run around the town coz I respect old people. However, this indeed seems like a bug coz there are NINE I identified in my town so far. Some I did a makeover but some I left them as they are. 

They are:

- Derek Solis
- Karla Friend
- Ahmed Bell
- Celeste Condon
- Arvin Ledford
- Trinity Luu
- Laurel May Jennings
- Lyric Bray
- Randolph Livingston

If indeed this is a bug, I would appreciate a fix maybe 4 or 5 elders are ok on the game. Let my makeovered NPC elders stay but for the others they can maybe go to Florida & buy a house there & retire or something? Lol

There are no NPCs in town that are not elders or makeover eligible right now. It happened earlier this year for weeks (I’m assuming it was a bug) and now it’s happened again. I’m that vain person who prefers to do a makeover on my Sims’ partners if they are not physically attractive (in my mind). Is this a bug again? It’s been over a week with no new NPCs that I can make over.
