@Faridah69, sadly, "The outfits at the parties/nightclubs are by design."

What were they thinking, if they were? One does not fix a problem by making it worse. Not only are townies still in ridiculous, inappropriate attire, but members of regular households are as well. Regular adults are impacted as well as young adults, and the attire is not limited to clubs. Affected sims remain in these outfits in other venues, whether community lots or simply walking around. Am not amused.

Yeah, I noticed that too. Sims show up in these outfits at nightclubs / parties, but they don't lose them after they leave. Saw my Sim walk around in the same hideous outfit at the gym later on... ugh. Also, to me it seemed as though premades and my own Sims were affected more than random townies. Or maybe it's housed Sims that are affected. I don't know, but I definitely noticed that most of my townies were spared. Am really hoping for a response from a SimGuru here or on the forums as I can't for the life of me understand who thought this was a good idea and why.

It just can not be, the outfit chaos gets worse and worse. I've noticed that the Sims change their clothes 4-5 times during a festival. My question: Must that be?

@Hoppel785 Seems it's actually by design
There's a thread linked in the first post where you can leave your feedback

@SimQARobowrote:Hello.
The outfits at the parties/nightclubs are by design. Strange outfits at festivals may still be an issue.
Sims appear to be wearing appropriate outfits at festivals again in my game, however, at the Romance Festival, the men frequently arrive with no pants on.
I've had this happen since way before the May 2017 patch that introduced the weird bugged outfits. They can eventually spin into pants later on during the festival, but often choose strange looking leggings or tights instead.
I don't know if they are programmed to wear some pants that I'm missing because I don't have all the stuff packs?

I also have male Sims in their underwear at the Romance festival, and I have all packs except for Toddler Stuff.

Wasn't sure if I should start a new thread for the PS4 version, but I also am experiencing Sims dressed weirdly for festivals. Romance festival just happened and I had people running around with astronaut helmets, llama heads, no pants, etc.
Was this intended for the console version?

It's a bug just like it is for PC. You will probably see a lot of the same issues.
