I've been playing with my generations family and the werewolf gameplay pack. And now every member of the moonwood commune died so it doesn't have any pack members. So now I cant join this pack cause it doesn't have an alpha that I can ask to join. It's like the pack is nonexistent.
Does anyone have an idea how I can cheat a new alpha or something like that??
Thanks, jana

@AvanthalasI finally found a solution to this. Took me forever to figure it out. Ok, so all you have to do is:
1. Go to your werewolf Sim and enable cheats (TestingCheats True)
2. If your Sim is not already part of the pack copy/paste: traits.equip_trait trait_WerewolfPackA
3. Then copy/paste: traits.equip_trait trait_WerewolfPackA_Leader
(A is for Collective, B is for Wildfangs)
YOU WON'T SEE ANY DIFFERENCE, but don't worry.
3. Visit a different werewolf with no pack
4. Interact with them and you'll see Werewolf Pack interactions. Under there you can invite them to the pack and then concede your position as alpha
(yep, you're alpha but the game doesn't see it).
5. Once they're alpha, the "in transition" bug will be fixed. After that you can challenge them and become alpha if you wish. Also making sure lots of werewolves are part of the pack is important so that the alpha gets transferred organically (unless you're the alpha). So take a bit of time and use the current alpha to invite a few werewolves into the pack.
If for some reason this does not work for you. Then make sure the Sim werewolf you went to interact with has the Friend of the Pack trait activated. To do that you have to play with them and use this cheat: traits.equip_trait trait_WerewolfPack_FriendA
(A for Collective, B for Wildfangs)
This made me understand that it's important to create an ecosystem if you delete all the Sims. So it'd be wise to even make sure there's rival werewolves around.

In my game the leaders do repopulate eventually, but the game chooses random Sims that are not werewolves. I don't know if something has changed since the original report was posted, but this is still obviously not right.
It's good someone posted a solution a couple of posts up, even if it does require use of console commands. To be honest, I hate having to using console commands to fix bugs. There's always a risk of messing your game up further when doing so.
