Could you clarify what you mean by "eyes don't work"?

ETA: I found a bug report thread for an issue relating to occult eyes. If this is the same issue that you are experiencing, you can reply to the bug thread with information about what is happening in your game, and hit the "Me too" button on the original post.

I have this issue with spellcasters as well, under those same conditions. The eye color that they changed to does not seem to be consistent either. For example, one of my Sims is supposed to have pink-purple occult eyes, but they changed to green, and then to brown after I tried to fix it. The infant in that household, however, kept the occult eyes.

Also having this issue, with spellcaster. She is suppose to have the occult pure white eyes and it switched to the non-occult violet eyes. Tried to fix it and as soon as I loaded out of CAS it had swapped to dark brown. Fixed again, and again loading out of CAS it was changed to the hazel color. It seems random. She has a spellcaster child with the same occult white eyes and this started happening while he is at school. Child sim upon coming home from school still has his occult white eyes.

So far, it is only happening to 2 Spellcasters:

1. Male - White/Red Occult Eyes

2. Female - White/Pink Occult Eyes

PS: the male Spellcaster is clone of Vladislaus Straud.

Vampire Eyes Revert to Human, Vampire Face Details Removed

Loading into an existing save, my played Occult Sims that use Vampire eyes and Vampire face details on their main "human" form have reverted to Human eyes and their Vampire face details have been removed. Vampire Dark Forms and Mermaid Forms correctly have the Vampire face details and eyes. I've seen this issue in multiple savefiles.

Previews and thumbnails of Occult households using Vampire Face/Eyes when viewed in Manage Households and Manage Worlds also show incorrectly with Human eyes and are missing their Vampire face details (cheeks, sockets, brows).

Mixed results when loading multi-Sim Occult Households: Some load correctly, others revert to Human eyes and removed Vampire face details.

What's most troubling is I can't fix this issue myself in CAS. I used testingcheats true > cas.fulleditmode > Modify In CAS to reset my Sim. After accepting my corrective changes, my Sims do not retain the Vampire eyes or face details that I reset in CAS, and reverts again to Human eyes and removes Vampire face details.

Downloading the same household from my Gallery and merging into the existing bugged household does correctly keep the details I originally set on the Gallery Sim. Placing my Gallery Sim, exiting, repairing and restarting my game loads the newly placed Gallery Sim correctly. It's my old played households that are affected and won't save corrections made in CAS.

Occult Sim's eyes cannot be changed

Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? The latest
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? Everything except Lovestruck, For Rent, Batu and Wedding Stories.
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Play as a spellcaster, click on mirror to change eyes into one of the occult colors. Once in live mode they will get a randomized human color instead.
What happens when the bug occurs? Instead of having the occult eye color that they've had so far, their eyes turn into a random human eye color.
What do you expect to see? My Sim to retain the occult eye color that I chose and that she had before the patch
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now, I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes, 100% after newest patch
Please describe the patch or change you made. 10/22/2024

My spellcaster Sim used to have white eyes (one of the occult eye options) and it broke with this patch. The game reverts her eyes into a random human color no matter how many times I try to "Change Sim" in the mirror and give her back her old eyes.

Even weirder I get very strange popups before and after. When first loading her house I get the popup that "Some CAS items were removed" but this sim has no CC, so why were CAS items removed? And upon exiting the mirror mode I get a second popup that "several build mode items have been removed because I don't own them" or something like that, I don't even own CC build items and and how does this non-existant build/buy CC disappear only after using the mirror?

This is happening to me too. I have never even used CC so it has nothing to do with mods.

I have this same issue. PS4, no mods. I updated yesterday to the newest patch 2.01 for console.

All of my vampires now have random human eye colors. Dark forms have retained occult eyes, but regular form does not. Editing in CAS does not stick, they revert back in Live Mode.

Attached pictured is my vampire yesterday vs today. He has had green slit pupil occult eyes since creation.

Re: Missing Vampires DLC CAS Customizations

★ Apprentice
@Cyn0su As far as I have been able to verify, this does not happen in all my saved games, only in one of them. Also, I have found that this error only happens with vampire Sims prior to the update and only in a normal form, as the dark form retains without problem all their vampiric traits. Also, vampires that are created from scratch keep their vampiric traits without problems regardless of whether they are created in a saved game affected by this problem or not. I have also found that, if you enter the CAS with these affected vampires and save a copy of them in the Gallery, they will still be affected by the same problem. It gives the feeling that the pre-update vampires are corrupted, and carry over this problem even when used in another unaffected save game.
