Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? 1.60.54.1020
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All of them and all content
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Have your Sim go to sleep for the night in a not upgraded murphy bed
What happens when the bug occurs? The bed breaks as while the Sim is sleeping
What do you expect to see? The bed not breaking every single night.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes
Please describe the patch or change you made. Install Tiny Living
I didn't really test if it also breaks as often if you upgrade it but others have reported as well that it breaks insanely often. My Sim didn't sleep a single night through without the bed breaking.

Is it a bug or did they deliberately make it that way? Either way it is irritating.

@crinrictI made a tiny home with two Murphy Beds in the living room. One of them broke during sleeping, the other didn't. I tested it twice while playtesting the house, and both times the same bed broke down and the other one didn't.
First test one sim slept in the breaking bed and two sims in the non-breaking bed, the second time two sims slept in the breaking bed and one sim slept in the non-breaking bed.
I think, but not entirely sure, that the breaking bed was the first one I placed. The other was copied from the first one with the eyedropper. Both are the bed with loveseat.
Edit: I tested a little more, repaired the broken bed and then put one sim to sleep in the breaking bed and one in the non-breaking bed. The non-breaking bed now broke down while she slept and swallowed her, and the breaking bed didn't break this time. Seems to be somewhat random if you have two Murphy's.
It still breaks down way too often.
No sims died during these tests, they only suffered a little by being swallowed.

@crinrictI have the exact same issue. Since my sim’s first night in a tiny home with the Murphy bed, every single time she uses it, it breaks. I had her upgrade it with “Spring Loaded” in hopes that it would stop breaking down EVERY single time, so I’m going to test it out.
edit: so despite the first upgrade, it’s still breaking down almost every other use. I’ll keep trying this out but form the looks of it, it’s buggy even with upgrades.
