Social Events not working right

So...This took me a little while to figure out what was going on.

I created a new save last night, made my sims, built the house etc saved and went to bed.

Today I was ready to play with my lovely new family. All was going well until I hosted a Spooky Party.

All of a sudden I couldn't click on the active sim to do things like change outfit, sing etc.

I also couldn't click on any other sims in my household to interact with them, or any of my guests! I could not socialise at all.

(Clicking on objects was fine.)

I uninstalled all of my mods. - nothing

I repaired my game. - nothing

I recovered an earlier version of the save - interactions were working again.

so I thought what was different between those 2 versions? The party!

I loaded up my save game which was mid party (party was failing horrendously due to lack of socialisation!). I ended the party and VOILA! I could interact with other sims again.

It has left me with one question: WHAT THE HELL JUST HAPPENED?

In all likelihood it was caused by your Mods. To test Move your Mods folder to the desktop and delete localthumbcache.package then try a party.

Yep this is definitely a thing.  I had a dinner party and everything worked out great.  When I threw a spooky party I could not click on my sims or other sims for interactions.  I noticed none of the other sims were talking to each other the entire time.  I even tried to reset a sim during the party and still nothing.

@crinrict I tried taking mods out and starting a party but still had the same issues. does not seem like mods are responsible

@aodoherty Same! I just downloaded the spooky stuff pack so never worked for me, it's a shame as I feel like I wasted my money now! hope they fix it

I had the same problem today while I'm hosting the spooky party

I thought it was the mods conflicted, however I removed all my mods, deleted the cache, open a new savefile

the spooky party still not working 

As long as the spooky party is going on, the pie menu never appear, I cant interact with my guests

I've tested the other events,they are ok, except the spooky party

@flirtysimlish I only play with the MCC mod and had the same issue after just downloading the spooky stuff pack. i was so excited to host a spooky party so gutted when it didn.t work. Same as reported here I had no social interactions menu. Cancelled the party and hosted a house party which was fine, so seems to only affect the spooky party. Really hope there's a fix for this! I tried taking out the MCCmod, reloading the game and host a new party. still didn't work.
