Is it a bug when my sims are not facing each other when interacting with other sims (NPC).  they were actually far from each other not even looking at each others' direction.  but they do shows gestures and dialog box appears about their conversation.  it really looks weird

I see this too sometimes. It's like they are to lazy to walk over to talk and just stay in place to do it. Bit like the weeding bug.
