Sim Can't Retire Even After Base Game/MCCC Updates

@crinrict I'm having the same problem and I'm on the ps4. When my sim tries to retire and I say yes to retiring she still has her job. I try doing it multiple times but she just reset.

My elder was unable to retire as well. FWIW, I downloaded Carl's bugfix mod for the elder and he was able to retire after that.

Has anyone had a fix for the retirement bug? My elder sims still can’t retire, same as everyone else, glitches when they ‘end’ the phone call, after I’ve said yes to retiring. This is really bothering me now, my sims come home vexed, they want to retire!

I'm having the same issue. I have 2 elderly sims and even when i take out all of the mods and ccs i have they still keep having to work no matter what.

My elder sim can’t retire! She calls and there’s a pop up confirming that I want her to retire… but then nothing happens…

I am having the sam issue where my sims will not retire. I keep selecting the option and selecting yes but then they still leave out for work. Nothing sims to work. The option used to work in the past.

Same issue here and I play with no mods either.
