[ARCHIVED] Romantic and Friendship Changes in NH Stories have no effect

There were 2 game updates released today, you should currently be on version 1.108.318.1020.

Please ensure your game is fully patched, and let me know if the issue persists.

How often does the bug occur? All the time
What is your current game version number? 1.108.318.1020
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? Everything except: Lovesturck, Castle Kit, Urban Homage Kit
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Enable Romance Changes for Other Households, track the Dating/Breakup changes in the Neighborhood Stories notifications and then load the household to check the romantic relationship. 
What happens when the bug occurs? Sims don't get romantic relationships added (when they start dating) or removed (when breaking up)
What do you expect to see? The change in the notification to be reflected in the sim relationship pannel
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes
Please describe the patch or change you made. Installed patch 1.108.318.1020.

New Save. 

Enabled Romance Changes for Other Households.

Played as a vampire in hibernation to let the time pass quickly. 

Monitored Neighborhood Stories Notifications for recognizable townies. 

Ex1: Nilani and Don have started dating per notification

Loaded into Don's household. No relationship or acquaintance to Nilani. 

These two sims live in separate households. 

Ex2: Eric and Alice have broken up. 

Eric and Alice are base game townies living in the same household. 

Loaded up their household and checked their relationship panel. 

They are still married with good Friendly and Romantic relationship. 

They both have a Sad Buff from breaking up but that's not reflected in each other's relationship panels. 

They have the option to Divorce in the Relationships interactions so it's not just a visual issue. 

[Edit] Changes appear in the relationship panel when households are in the My Households group (set per household). 

If Romantic Changes shouldn't affect Other Households then a) we shouldn't get notifications on it and b) it shouldn't trigger moodlets with no correlation to the relationship panel. 

@flauschtrud Yes, I knew about the different treatment of households in the two groups.

I figured I'd do a test and writeup anyway in case there was confusion between this and the reports that romantic relationships are being created between relatives. (that one seems to happen in pre-patch saves, similar to the mean-sims one and may be related to relbits changes).

@Alas_EnkiduYes, it might be easy to get confused on these issues that seem contradictory at first glance. But I guess the reports on family members starting to date are about Sims in the same household or played Sims, so it makes sense again.

I didn't experience any inappropriate pairings in my save, but since it was brand new there probably weren't that many Sims that might have been a candidate for that. Totally different situation if you play with an old legacy save though...

This is happening in my game as well two sims apparently started dating but they don’t even know each other in their relationship panels. 

Yep, game fully patched and still have this problem. If the story says that someone started dating and I go to the household, there is no relationship between them. If story says that a couple broke up and I go to the household, they are still very much in a relationship.

Dear developers, why in addition to Cupid's arrow. Sims cannot hug their significant other while sleeping. in the sims 2, sleep animations changed and they could wake up and hug the sim next to them. and sleep with a hug. I understand that there is a mod for such an action, but you are developers of the EA company, this is such a shame. You have the resources and the team. and one person realized this opportunity better than you. and there are also no animations in bed or on the sofa in which they could talk to each other. like Simka laid her head on the lap of her significant other on the sofa and they chatted nicely. or sits sideways on his lap and hugs his neck and they have a nice conversation. They can’t lie on top of each other in bed to talk. little romantic interactions and animations. and in general why can’t Sims take a pose in which some parts of the body can move and have conversations. morning dialogues like good morning. Today I woke up and realized that I urgently need to order that sweater, remember I told you about it. and she lies across the bed under her head, presenting her hand and quietly twitching her hind leg. smiling cutely. and then again, oh, I understand, do you want coffee?) And it’s a pity that there is no pose in bed when one Sim is on top, if the girl sits on top and speaks. running your fingers over your chest. and if it’s a guy, then several animations. Plus why do my couple of sims who are married get notifications from cupid environment like looking for love look into cupid's arrows. This is a hint of Tretev. The Seamer community will not understand the propaganda of swinging. instead of a cool add-on about love with a bunch of animations for a couple in love. you gave us hints like this is a club where you can do anything with something. and a closed hotel. Maybe you can immediately add the function of woohoo in three. like when the Sims were drunk, friends picked up a girl in a club and took her to a hotel. so to speak, test it for strength. there is very little romance. why are there no interactions and animations for the kitchen. when one Sim kisses another, he lifts him in his arms and cares for him on the kitchen cabinet and they kiss further and then in this position they can continue to communicate. to have a dialog. where is it all?? what kind of scraps of romance are these? It’s as if you’re making stale crackers out of your Simmer community. if your imagination suffers because of your work, then go and watch films in the end. a million romantic films.

And you made a cracker out of the addition about love. in which something new came to woohoo mats from the sims 1. you understand that all the mechanics are simply taken from the past and don’t do anything new. it's horrible. There is not even an opportunity for Sims to spend time together in the bathroom or shower. wash each other by look after each other. Bring coffee in bed. or breakfast. find out what you would like for breakfast. and so on. care and love and its manifestations in addition to love is your responsibility, you are paid money for this for the implementation of cool add-ons that Simers will buy and enjoy. And you do everything just to ruin the Sims even more. I don’t argue that playing has become more interesting. There are more mechanics, but they are all like crackers. like you took a step to the side and everything is in place, this is your implementation of add-ons and their gameplay capabilities. who can implement all this better than you? You look like modders, throw off all the responsibility. and with their mods they pull out unleavened crackers from the bottom. making it more interesting and lively. You understand that most of the Seamers don’t play without mods because of you. at all. For example, after the updates I immediately went looking for a mod update. because without mods the Sims is less interesting to me. and not very attractive. because the mechanics there are interesting. and cool opportunities have been realized.
