Any news on a fix yet?
The game has been unplayable (100% freeze as you hit the world/neighbouthood menu) for a few months now.

Well, that is sad to hear.
If the EA team is working on investigating this issue for 4 months, and no sign on any fix, can I get a refund on this game (or all dlc I bought in the psn store) to step over to PC?
Also, I think this game should not be in the psn store in this condition.

Minor update on my part.
I have been in contact with Sonys support team, and we've gone through some trouble-shooting, but its only had limited success so far.
I've rebuilt my consoles database, and re-initialised it, taking it back to the factory settings.
At first, it looked promising, downloaded the base game, no expansions, and it was working. I could get through the menus, create a new set of Sims and start building a house. Even downloading my original save data, it seemed to be running fine.
But then as soon as you start installing the add-ons, the issue started occurring straight away. Within a minute of getting to the main menu, it would freeze again forcing me to close the game back down. And it was happening with both the original save data I transferred from the PS4, and a brand new file created from scratch.
At the very least, I think we've managed to rule out that its an issue with the console itself.
I get the feeling there is something thats been added since the 1.39 patch that is causing an issue with the DLC content.
The support team I had been speaking to have said they are now going to forward it on to a specialist team to try and look into the issue on their side.

I'm playing right now. I'm completely shook!
Maybe I just clicked fast enough.
But, I'm playing my household right now. I'm terrified to enter the neighborhood screen.
I guess I just do what I can do right now.

I am furious with this game. Looked forward to playing TS4 on PS5 and having it run smoothly.
Instead of that it just doesn’t run at all.
Is there a repair timeline? Have you found the source of this bug?
And finally - in case this is not resolved soon - how do we proceed to be reimbursed for our TS4 collections? I assume not being able to play the game since March, due to your actions, is reason enough?
