I noticed this in my game assumed its due to the new label on food as not saleable, but my SIM did autonmously manage to get 10 simiolions at clearing trash off the floor after I told her to. In 6 weeks total gain was 10 simoleons, making item compleatly useless if intended change.

I'm not sure if this issue has been brought up, or if it's a glitch. Before the patch the Nanocan Touchless Trash Can (the money bin) worked by giving players a reward of simoliams when they moved plates into the bin, Since the patch launch the bin does nothing more than making the plates dissapear without any reward.
Yours sincerely

@realtrouble87, I was thinking this might happen after seeing the Livestream of Eco Lifestyle. I was hoping I was wrong as a lot of my Sims depend on that trash can for "income"
I tired to see if there were any Bug Reports about this yet, but from the list of Bug Reports I'm not sure what category it might be placed in, so if there is a report on it already, I can't find it! Therefore, I think It would be best to make your own Bug Report on it! https://answers.ea.com/t5/Bug-Reports/bd-p/The-Sims-4-Bugs Fill it out and then I will "Me too" it and add my findings as well! Just post back here with the link to the report.

The same thing is happening here. I'm on ps4.

I had to lock all the bathroom doors and put the kitchen sink and the dishwasher (and the sink on the porch that I forgot about) for my sim to throw dirty plates away, where the nano can yielded 20 simoleons for a seven-sim household.

@realtrouble87 - I've merged your post into the bug report for this issue. Please check "Me Too" on the first post. Thanks!

I fixed a previous glitch in my Sims 4 with a "see what's happening" glitch. But now the Nanotrash can I have isn't working, it stopped giving money for the trash I put into it.
I've already replaced it with a new one and it's still doing the same thing.

Yeah exactly this, I'm glad I'm not the only one whose noticed this.

I'm not sure how to draw more attention to this beyond giving this a me too, but this seriously needs to be fixed. What is the point in buying a thousand dollar trash can unless you really don't like emptying the trash? Before it was a money maker. Not a huge one and not game breaking, but it paid for itself over time and I ALWAYS used it in all of my houses. This is en extremely disappointing turn of events.

I came here to say the same thing! This bug needs fixing ASAP! Come on EA...
