[OPEN] [MWS] Strange smoke at roof of Thebe Estate in Tartosa [ Edited ]

What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All of them.
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Go to the Thebe Estate in live mode. From there go into build mode and delete the chimneys. The smoke stays. Go back into live mode, it is still there.
What happens when the bug occurs? I renovated the build, moved the chimneys. Only one had smoke and that smoke stays in the original location and will not go away. If you enter build mode from the map, the smoke is not there. I bulldozed the lot and the terrain and the smoke was still there.
What do you expect to see? I expect the smoke to go away if there is not chimney or move with the chimney.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes
Please describe the patch or change you made. I've never had this issue before. Obviously it happened after getting My Wedding Stories as the lot this is happening on is in the world that came with that pack.

There is smoke coming from the roof of Thebe Estate in Tartosa.  It won't go away.

@rlc77 Have you tried if the same happens on another lot or if it's specific to that lot ?

@crinrict It seems to be specific to that lot and that build but I haven't checked all the lots. I started a new game and had the same issue with that lot - smoke coming out of one chimney, delete chimneys, smoke remains.

I took a look at this in my game.  I didn't have any problems with the smoke hanging around after the chimneys were deleted.  I did notice one thing though.  On clear days, the chimneys did not smoke.  But when it started raining, then they started smoking.  When the weather went back to clear, they stopped.  I noticed it was raining in your pic so does the smoke still show up when the weather clears?  And if it does go away, does it come back when the rain starts again?

So what I'm thinking is you may have deleted the chimneys while the FX smoke was active and it got stuck.  Maybe you can try putting the chimneys back and play the game for a few days until it rains and they start smoking and once the rain is gone, try deleting the chimneys again after the smoke disappears.

Apparently that issue is related to seasons but not the weather.  I started a new game again but this time started in summer.  I visited the house with a sim who didn't live there.  There was no smoke.  I added her to the household, still no smoke.  So I changed the season to spring and the smoke appeared.  It was gone in fall, winter and summer but there during spring.  I went back to my ongoing game which is in winter right now and the smoke was, of course, there.  I changed the season to spring - smoke was still there.  Changed to summer - no smoke.  Changed to fall - no smoke.  Changed back to winter - no smoke.  Back to spring - smoke is back..  No idea what  is up.

That is just strange.  It was summer in my game when I tested.  I did get smoke then, but only when it rained and only with a chimney present.  When I removed the chimneys, the smoke disappeared.  And putting them back made the smoke come back.  I didn't monitor what the temps were doing though.  But if it is seasonal, I would think that you should see it in spring, fall and winter.  I did try with the fireplaces lit and unlit but that didn't seem to make any difference.  The smoke only showed when it was raining regardless whether the fireplaces were on or off.  Like you, I've no idea as to why it is happening.  The only thing I can suggest is to keep watching it was you play the lot and see if it changes.

Yeah, its so weird.  I'm pretty sure the chimneys aren't supposed to smoke unless there's a fireplace on.  Oh well, at least its gone for now.

I'm playing a different household in Tartosa and they visited the Thebe Estate.  It is still winter in my game and the smoke is back again.  I think I'm going to have to bulldoze the lot and replace it with something else and rebuild that lot.  Just bulldozing does not get rid of the smoke.

ETA:  It is sunny in my game as well, not raining.  And I can see the smoke while on another lot and panning over to that one.

While looking around the town of Tartosa, I noticed that there is smoke coming out of some of the chimneys of the dummy buildings in town.  This appears to be the same smoke that is coming out of the roof of the Thebe Estate.  I few minutes ago, the smoke on the lot was gone and I noticed the town building also had no smoke, a little later, the smoke was back on the lot and in the town.  I'm wondering if the game changer who build the lot used some debug smoke creator.  I've looked in debug but don't see anything.  I watched a video that she made about the lot and she said she had used a bunch of live edit items and was told to remove them. I wonder if something got let behind.  Everything about this pack just makes me more and more angry.

Did a bit more testing. -  when I place the Thebe Estate lot on another lot in Tartosa the smoke is gone.  So it seems tied to that specific location in the world but it was placed at one of the chimneys so its not there by accident.  I really hope someone will take a look at this at it will drive me crazy everytime I play in the new world and that is the only reason I bought this broken pack.
