[OPEN] Last Exception Error - placing fish into fish bowl

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Have a Sim catch a fish or have a Sim go to Henford and purchase a fish at grocery stall, then bring the fish home and drag into a fish bowl or boneyard bowl. Automatically get a Last Exception Error. Then if you have your Sim put the fish back in their inventory, you get another Last Exception Error. MC Command Center was the last Mod that I removed from my Mods folder. So I was getting the orange error box every time that I drag a fish into the fish bowl.
What happens when the bug occurs? Can't drag a fish into a fish bowl without causing a Last Exception Error message. I can use the fish in a recipe to cook. I can also drag the fish into a refrigerator so that another Sim can use in a recipe to cook. I've also got another issue that has happened since the July 18th update, because I have Cottage Living, all of my households have gardens and rabbits. 2 of my households have had Last Exception errors because of their wild rabbits. After the July 18th update, I did have some other issues. I had to update the MC Command Center Mod. I also had 2 Mods that showed up on a Last Expection report that had to be deleted. But these issues were resolved as soon as I updated and removed the Mods.
What do you expect to see? I expect to be able to catch fish or purchase fish and be able to place them in a fish bowl at my Sim house. I expect to be able to have wild rabbits and not cause a Last exception error. My concern is whether my SAVE file is damaged by these Last Exception errors?
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.

Please describe the patch or change you made. The July 18, 2023 patch just prior to Horse Ranch expansion release. I first noticed the problem with a Sim family on July 18th after my game was updated. But because I play with multiple families and don't go fishing with every family, I didn't realize until July 23rd that I had a big problem. I tested several Sim families both by catching the fish and also purchasing the fish. I have deleted the cache files and repaired the game. I began using the 50/50 removing my mods and custom content. Today, my Mod file is empty and I am still getting the Last Exception error message. This evening, I removed my July 27th save file and replaced it with my July 18th prior to update save file. Unfortunately after my Sim went fishing, drag the fish into the fish bowl, Last Exception Error message. I have checked Answers HQ and haven't found anyone else with this problem. HELP!

I have been doing more testing today. 

This morning remembered that I had Sims 4 loaded on my laptop, but I haven't played since March.  My laptop had Game Version 1-31-23 and the last Save file was dated March 14, 2023.  I had MC Command Center 2023.1.0 and had 2,774 items in my Mods folder (mostly custom content of hair, clothes and furniture).

I decided to have a Sims family go fishing and place the fish in the fish bowl.  I was able to go fishing 2 separate times and both times placed the fish in the fish bowl with NO issues.

 

Then this afternoon, I went back to my desktop that has the Game Version from 7-18-23 with all the updates.  I still have all Mods deleted and began to test with old Save files.

1st I used the July 18th save file before the update, 2nd I used the June 13th save file before that update, 3rd I used the May 30th save file before that update and lastly I used the March 14th save file prior to infants and growing together from my laptop.

On my desktop, every time my Sim family went fishing and proceeded to drag the fish into the fish bowl, I had a Last Exception error message.  I tested with 3 different Sim families.  I also used the same Sim family for my Laptop experiment and the Desktop experiment.

 

In conclusion, my laptop had NO last exception errors.  But every time, a total of 5 times on my desktop with various save file, I received a Last Exception error.

 

I never had this problem until after the July 18th update.

Have tested this myself, and it seems to be an issue with fishbowls specifically - it doesn't seem to affect any of the aquarium objects. It happens even on a completely new save that has never had any mods or CC in it. The fish still gets put into the fishbowl as expected and nothing else really occurs, other than the error being generated (which can be annoying if you have mods that notify you when errors occur like MCCC or BetterExceptions). From what I can tell, it doesn't seem to have any other adverse effects on the save file besides potentially causing a small amount of lag when trying to put fish into fishbowls.

Hi, I've been having the same problem. I don't place a fish my sim caught, I just click on the bowl and Add Fish. I get an error, something about "tooltip". That was the only word I could really identify. I generally don't do this action often so can't say how long it has been happening. I discovered it about two weeks ago. I've basically been ignoring it, because as you say, it doesn't affect game play. I figured it was some kind of glitch until it happened again yesterday. I was just curious if anyone else was having this problem.

I just discovered this error yesterday. It does not cause any other visible problems, except that a LE appears.

I have worked with the large Apuarien before, but the small ones are often nicer to put up as decoration. But even with me it is only now noticed. And I can unfortunately not say a more precise time when it occurred.

I get an LE when I click on buying a fish for the Snowy Escape My Little Marimo Aquarium.

I haven't been able to place a fish in a bowl since the Crystal update. I get this LE:

I don't have any base game aquariums to test but before I did testing without mods I was unable to interact with my cc aquariums at all. They are all broken. I was getting LEs when fishing as well, but I'm not seeing that anymore at the moment.

Got this error tonight as well. Dragged a perch from sims inventory to the fishbowl from Snowy Escape and had an LE pop up.

I have MCCC, , several smaller mods, and some CC in my game but it's all up to date.
