Same issue here. I had just bought the island living expansion for a fishing challenge and it was very disappointing to see I couldn't fish.

Can't fish in Sulani.

I have this problem. A lot of sims fishing in the same spot. Need to reset the spot and then I have a small chance to actually use it, but sims are quick to use it again and I can't always reach it - my sim says they can't do that. 
It's not just Sulani spots, I'm trying to fish out the ring in the new world, the Enamorada one.

I also live in sulani and I am unable to fish as well. The water is almost glittering II would say as well as the sign…

I already did that, lots of times... Didn't work :'( I also eliminated all my mods, and nothing.

Hey! I had the same problem, but was able to fix it. I have MC Command Center, UI Cheats, Better Build/Buy, and TOOL. The only thing I had to do to fix it was shut down my game and restart it. Not sure if it'll work for everyone, but there's something you can try if you haven't already and are still experiencing the issue. Good luck!

My Sims are unable to fish from the signs in Sulani since the July 23 update. Whenever they try to fish there, they throw up the “I can’t get there” bubble over their head. If the jump on there outrigger they can fish from the same fishing hole, just not from the beach. I am playing on XBox Series S.

@EA_Solaire I've had this issue so far in Sulani fishing spots, I've tested fishing in Oasis Springs and San Myshuno and it worked fine. Maybe it's a bug specific to the world of Sulani. My game is fully updated and has no mods installed.
