Having this issue too on PS4.
I will say I don’t mind this as adults do suffer with acne in real life, I just hope they add the facial cleanser/conceal acne options for adults too

I tried the disable acne option in game play settings and a restart. Unfortunately, this did not work.
I tried aging to toddler then aging up. As soon as I got out of CAS to reset all the chosen outfits, my sim had acne again. WARNING!!!!! .. this method also resets all your sims learned skills!!!!
What did work.
I set her age back to teen. Went to the mirror and used the option to conceal acne. Then aged her back to young adult. My sim no longer has acne.

i had this problem, too.
i tried turning the acne setting off then showering and freshen up interaction with a mirror as i had seen someone say this worked for them. i didn't for me.
i then logged out to main menu and went back in. my sim still had acne.
i turned the option back on, backed out of the menu then went in to turn it off again. my sim's acne went away.
i exited the game and logged back in and my sim is still clear.

I don’t know if there’s a separate topic for this but my teens also still get acne despite me having the option turned off

Still suffering from this issue. One of my sims never lost her acne all the way through elder.

Same! It seems like if they age up while having an acne breakout there's really no way to get rid of it.

As with everyone else, I just encountered the same problem. I've had acne turned off in the Pack options, but the teen in my current family got acne anyway. I suspect the option might be from Parenthood, and not the new acne that came from the High School pack. In which case, I can see how the devs for HS might not have thought to access that toggle. They NEED to, though; this is ridiculous.
I checked under Skin Details, and even searched through the Sim's hidden buffs using MCCC, but I couldn't find anything that would be causing this. Seriously, EA, why do you make acne so insidious in the game? Not everyone wants to play a hyper-realistic game.
I should also be clear; I also tried what several people suggested, and toggled the acne on and back off again. That didn't work, nor did resetting the Sim, nor did going into CAS. I tried setting him back to teen and then back to adult again which did work, but he lost ALL of the Parenthood traits that I had worked SO HARD to get. I can get them back with cheats, but I shouldn't have to!

I have same problem with a lot of sims, even when I cleaned regularly their skin, it's stupid !
EA, not so many adults keep acne, it's rare and it's not fun, and too much frequent.
Can you repare this please ?
Signed, a french player.

This did non work for me. When I aged back up, the young adult acne was still there
