Just got the game, and this expansion pack.  I really wanted to like it... but this bug is really bumming me out, and now I see it has been going on for an entire year?!

@GryphonSK Would you be willing to share your save with QA as asked above ?

I tested your save and while I didn't have any issues with fingerprinting and stuff, the task to interrogate a suspect seems very off.

Is that what you're talkin about ? I had to go inside with my Sim first, then all the cell interactions worked fine.

The interrogation task should only show up if you actually have a case suspect which I think you don't in this save ? I mean it also wanted me to get a case assignement.

Could you test if it works for you if you go inside first, to the room where the cells are and then try again ?

I have tried that.  The only way I can do anything with the prisoners is if I use a cheat and move trhe cell door to the middle of the room.  They still "release" the prisoner, bit then it works, I guess, as it's supposed to, but I still couldn't interrogate when I was back up to that level.

@GryphonSK I didn't have the time to play on your save all the way up to that so if you want me to send your that save where you're at interogated, please do so.

I'm playing through it now.  Seems the doors work as long as my vampires don't have moving as Bat or Mist enabled.

Update: @crinrict Okay, seems to be working okay now, was able to interrogate and complete the case.  Apparently, my cell doors just don't work if you have Bat or Mist enabled.  Fast-running works okay, though.  Thanks for all the help!

[PROBLEM SOLVED WITHOUT PROMOTION CHEATS OR RESETTING CAREER - 01 Oct 2019 (MAC)]

What I did to solve the problem is to renovate the workplace and remove the cell door.

First, insert cheat code to allow you to renovate the locked lot with "bb.enablefreebuild",

then just remove the cell doors to somewhere else (no worries, the suspect will not escape!).

Then just return to play mode, and your sims should be able to head towards the cell,

and by clicking the suspect and select "interrogate suspect", both the sims and suspect will be

able to head to the interrogation room!

(To insert cheat code, press control + shift + C for mac, then on top left will be a bar for you to insert the cheat code on renovating locked lots!)

I have a variant of this problem and I am so frustrated I want to cry! I thought it was all my CC and mods, so I removed *everything* and started a new save file - same issue! The criminals that spawn in the jail work, but any suspect my cop(s) (I tired this multiple times now) bring in, they are *broken*. Suspects half the time spawn on the street next to my cop, but they THINK they are in a cell. If they spawn in a cell, once I release them, they STILL think they are in a cell, so I can't interrogate them! I can't put them back in a cell, because the game thinks everyone is already locked up. As a result all I can do is fingerprints, mugshots, and searches, no interrogations, so I can NEVER finish/progress in the cop career.
