[OPEN] [GRO] Sims instantly take infant out of back carrier [ Edited ]

How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? 1.96
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Put infant in back carrier
What happens when the bug occurs? I try to put my infant in the back carrier, they get in, and my sim instantly takes it out
What do you expect to see? My infant should stay in the back carrier.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? No

It's the same bug that used to happen with the high chairs. I have autonomy off, and my sims still instantly take my infant out of the carrier.

is anyone else having the following issue with the baby carriers? when my adult sims puts the infant in the carrier, they literally cannot do anything else while "wearing" the infant not even walk anywhere.  as soon as the infant gets placed in the baby carrier, and falls asleep in the carrier for example, (my infant has the quirk where they have a strong preference to fall asleep while being held) a new future action for my adult sims immediately pops up that reads "take infant out of carrier" and any other actions i direct my sim to do gets placed after "take infant out of carrier" in the queue which leads my sim standing there for hours while the baby sleeps.  i haven't read anyone else having this issue so any assistance would be appreciated.  ty!

@ashes0628 The issue is even worse, when you are outdoors with your baby and press "Return home", the sims drop baby on the ground and run home solo, so you have to "travel" home instead.

I am having the same issue. I tell my Sims to put the infant in the carrier, then they instantly take them out, dump them on the floor, abandon them in public and take off to do their own thing. 

For some reason the Sims cannot multi task with infant in the carrier so it is interfering or appears to interfere with whatever the Sim wants/needs to do.

That's hilarious. But I'm having the same issues as this post too.

@grocafloka Same here! It's the high chair headache all over again! They put the infant in the carrier and if I'm lucky, they might do one thing or walk somewhere with the infant in the carrier... if I line up an action fast enough. But then they immediately take the infant out and dump them on the floor again.

I expected the carriers to be a means ok keeping your baby with you throughout the day as you go places and go about your daily activities. I expected that once you put an infant in a carrier, they would stay in the carrier until you tell them to take the infant back out.

i am having all of the irksome bugs with the back carrier that all the other simmers are describing in these replies. i have tested both my fully updated modded game but also with no mods at all and both proved to have identical issues.
