@bookmaster325 Unfortunately if you don't have ECO living, you don't get the cheat option on the trash can. That's apparently an ECO living cheat.

The only way is either to delete the trash can and re-purchase it every few days, or just delete it and get the nanocan.

I'm having this problem on PS4 The Sims 4 base game.

SO i figured out how to "fix it" or i guess empty it. just have your sim kick it and when you put the pile of trash that falls out back in it is no longer "full" but i do recommend having two trashcans on lot to not disrupt game-play when the one fills up.
