Chef won’t cook in restaurant

Please do not forget that the problem is not only with the cooks standing outside the restaurant. Also, when we manage to get them to work using the reset object cheat, they cook invisible food inside invisible pots.

Here's what I've done to fix the issue in my game (I won't guarantee that all the changes are necessary, but better safe than sorry).

This was set to not be allowed at restaurants instead of only being allowed at restaurants.

I did some more testing and found that adding the line

<T>130444<!--chefStation_CuttingBoard_Active--></T>

is not required for the fix to work.

Also, I got even more convincing results by lowering the time out not to 5, but to 1 (EAs tuning is set to 120 minutes, which is far too long).

Nice work but I believe 99,99% of us, don't know how to apply the fix. I hope though, if that really works as you say, that EA will compensate you for doing their job.

@83bienchen If this really works (not tried yet) and it was the problem all along then how on earth did no one at EA not work this out ? This makes so much sense as a fix because the chef stands outside for exactly 120mins (2 hours) before going to work. It does make you wonder if EA actually look at these bugs at all, so sad.

@SimGuruRitzy if the @83bienchen fix below is the issue then could you please explain why the EA team didn't pick this up within 10 seconds of it being reported?

The fix must be deployed by EA with an update. Otherwise, new players who buy Dine Out will go nuts until they find what is wrong with the pack.
