[OPEN] Can't build a rocket

I have the same issue but only during the scientist career. 
The rocket I have at my Sims’ lot works normally, but the one at the scientist lab while playing the career doesn’t work.

A New update was released 1.47 but the ship’s problem continue.

To add to this issue: built rockets also can not be downloaded from the gallery as a work around. As well as if you try to make a club to get someone else to free will start the rocket, no one will touch it even if it is the only club activity.

No mods, All expansions. 

New saves I can build, but it goes away at some point. As I've read; Geek Con might be the culprit?

@ShadamiTome no, it's not GeekCon. It's when you have the first Finchwick Fair happpen in Cottage Living, it makes the rocket build price test fail with an exception forever afterwards. If you don't have Cottage Living, you don't have this issue.

I posted on page 5, that if you have Eco Lifestyle and enact the Tech Support NAP - the autonomous build rocket action from that lets NPCs construct the rocket because they don't test for launch build costs at all, which bypasses the issue with the Cottage Living fair.

I'm having the same problem. I just went back to save to play with my scientist. The rocket ship isn't built yet and she can't interact with it. It also causes a last exemption. I tried putting one on her home lot to see if it would work and it didn't. I removed all my mods and tried again it didn't work. Also I don't know if it's related at all but the construction robot at the science lab doesn't have a animation anymore.

It's sooo annoying! I love the Rocket Science skill and the Astronaut career, and Sixam (and yes, I know you can get to Maxis through the portal if you have a Level 10 Scientist Sim, but that's not the point)!!!!!!

Somebody recently made a mod that specifically fixes this problem... LMAO it is kind of a huge slap in the face of EA/the Sims support team because someone literally made a mod for it before they fixed it. And the silly thing is that it seems like it'd be an incredibly easy fix.

As of the 1.79 patch I can't start building one at GeekCon in my current save. This is the first GeekCon I've attended in the save and have yet to go to a Finchwick Fair of any sort (though I'm about 6 sim weeks in, so both have happened without me attending). Now that Tina Tinker's started the rocket I can continue it if I like.
