Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Try to make a sim have a shower when a pet is nearby
What happens when the bug occurs? I my pet is sat near the shower, when I try to make my sim have a shower they get in the shower, then get out instantly. The only way to make this work is to have my other sim carry my pet further away on the lot and then make the sim take a shower, I know you had this isue with babies in 2014 as well
What do you expect to see? Sims should stay in the shower until their hygeine is full
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure

Having a puppy or kitten nearby will no longer interrupt your Sim’s bath or shower. We swear they weren’t doing that on porpoise.

tried this in my game and have no issues even with the dog in the bath room.

How high is your relationship to the Sim ?

The sim has maximum relationship with the kitten

Do you have the issue only with kittens or also with dogs/cats/puppies ?

Same problem with my game. 

I have all DLCs, except Seasons and My First Pet Stuff.

No CC.

Hm, Only on bathtub or shower as well ? Or bath tub/shower combos.

It worked fine for me when I tried but I was using a shower as per original post but maybe they were using a shower/tub combination

Mine was a normal corner shower. Think it was the cheapest corner shower you can get

Did you try adult dogs with that or just kittens ?
