Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? There is no longer a daily quest that rewards me with a cupcake for completing the llama zoom tasks. Now I have no way to get cupcakes unless I buy them with real money.

Is Llama zoom not showing up? Or does she not have cupcakes any more? 

I have seen some people getting cupcakes from watching the ads through the mailbox.

All quests stop at some point. If it was something that lasted forever, it would have just been a Llama Zoom reward along with the tickets and XP. Unfortunately, they simply removed our access to daily free cupcakes. You can watch the ads for a chance, and also assign your sims the generous trait for a chance of cupcakes at the daily login.
