I have the same problem on the Xbox One.  I tried restarting and resting at the nearby meditation point, but nothing worked to fix it.

For everyone who can't get The Creature #2 scan - just stand near or aside by a chair (as shown on screenhttps://answers.ea.com/t5/Bug-Reports/Not-able-to-scan-entry-Researcher-13-Faded-Mural-on-planet/td-p/8439672/page/2?attachment-id=347332)  for a few (or 10-15) seconds and the scan option will appear.

yes just standing on a chair wont dip it you have to stand on edge and look at creature in the distance not the floor

I don't know if this is still open but it appears that the scan itself is not the chair. It is the view across to the creature. That may be why it's not showing for you as you are not facing the correct way?

A little precision in case: you have to look and stay in the direction of the creature so that about 3 seconds later BD-1 can start a scan.

And for the author: the creature probably did not disappear, but is just far on the horizon (it moves), but it works anyway
