No options for sims to socialize

My sim and her husband renewed their vows at the wedding arch, and after the option to socialize doesn't come up. If I'm playing as my sim or my sim's husband, and I move the mouse over the other sim, the sim isn't even hilighted like the sim isn't even there. Sometimes it will let me click on the other sim, and the only thing it says is "call over", but it won't let me click it because it says that the sim is too far away to be called over, even though the sims are literally right next to each other. They can sill interact with other sims, just not each other. Please help

Are you using any mods in your game ? Did you try traveling to another lot to see if that fixes it ?
