it was posted as a "KNOWN ISSUE" in an respawn update thread over a month ago...i cant expect it will be addressed any time soon. devs seem to stubborn to break from their stupid " only MAJOR" update ideology

Hai,

Do you have a full surround sound system connected? (do you have all 8/7.1 speaker devices)

In the audio settings of Apex there is a windows audio configuration option that is faded out for me because of my setup, do you have access to it to adjust option if its not set properly?

I have Xonar DX 7.1 sound card but using only stereo headphones.

In windows I have set it as Stereo also in Xonar App I have set it as 2 Channels without any Dolby or other adjustments.

Inside the game I have info that it is "headphones/stereo".

I have no issues with sounds in ANY other game except this one. I have tried ever possible combination of stereo/5.1/7.1 various channers 2/4/6/8, dolby or other - the same * happens. No footsteps when enemy is behind me. You can clearly hear (rather not hear) it on the attached video. I had more of these but deleted them to free space...

Hmm some game's in windows change audio settings for their game.

Let check some core audio settings.

Alright go to your windows sound icon and open sound settings.

Then go to Sound Control panel.

Click the default device your using and click properties.

In the tabs check all the settings are set properly for stereo. (they change between other audio devices)

Once done apply.

If it still happens then we have to see if we can recreate it so Dev's can fix it.

In the footage the wraith was at different elevations to you, maybe its that difference that causes it?

But it will be hard to tell :/

It's not an issue with my audio setup. Like I said - currently I have only one audio device enabled and set to "stereo". 

But the issue with missing footsteps is regardless of my audio setup and only happens with this game. Also there are really funky sound stuff in this game, like when I climb up and someone on the top pings something near him I hear the sound behind me... so... Let's have Devs fix this mess.

Wish that they would actually fix the issues reported by players instead of worrying about new content. Would rather have functioning sound than $18 skins and new guns/characters.
