Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? No
Back when My Wedding Stories was released, Maxis introduced a neat little feature for taking pictures - a fade in effect would appear that transitioned from live mode to the camera UI and a fade out effect would appear after the pictures were taken and the UI was closed. That would prevent the live and camera modes from switching abruptly, and the game wouldn't start lagging immediately after photos were taken. However, after a few patches since then, the feature has been missing. The fade in and out transition is no longer there, and what makes it weirder is the fact that the Sims Team had that effect during the Growing Together livestream that took place on March 3rd. I do truly believe that the feature has to be brought back to all the players as it just makes taking photos much smoother and visually appealing.
