New “Squad up” feature not working

You have an "Activate Windows" watermark in the bottom right corner. Leads me to believe it's possibly related to that overlay. Can you try getting rid of that to see if that fixes it? I would also check to see if you have any updates for Windows. Search "Windows Updates" in the desktop search bar to check for pending updates.

Windows is updated.

However I don’t understand how having a trial version would affect anything. 

All other features of the game are present and working correctly, and as stated I am unable to even receive invites correctly as it results in a crash.

sadly I can’t offered to change the trial situation at this moment. I’ll attempt to download and play on a separate computer that does have the full version to see if that does anything tho.

I am having this exact issue as well with a full license of windows 10 pro so I don't think it is your windows trial.

Do you both have Origin In-Game enabled under your Origin client's Application Settings?

Can you both update your video card drivers to the latest version? It can be done from Nvidia's site or through the GeForce Experience which helps auto-detect them for you.
