Left trigger is bound to undo and search - big pain

Apparently with the new update, a shortcut was created and bound to the left trigger on Xbox that opens the search bar and keypad in build mode. The only problem is that the left trigger is already bound to undo, which means every time I undo something I also have to close out of the search box. If I want to undo several changes in a row, I'm sure you can imagine how annoying it is. Please fix this! I don't need a shortcut to the search box. Or make it a different button, or give us the freedom to change the control settings ourselves.

You guys require a video, yet make it completely impossible and unsupported to post one. VERY smart! The problem is STILL with the L2 button in build mode, being binded to both the undo AND the searchbar command. Very annoying, very stupid choice. Are you “developers” even reading our complaints and fixing what poor choices you implemented in the game that no one was asking for? Like PLEASE GIVE US THE GAME WE USED TO HAVE BEFORE THE UPDATE! It’s not that hard!!!!

I also have this bug on my ps4 since the controllers changed. Also when i paint the walls i cannot change to one tike or the complete room with the L1/R1 buttons anymore. Freaking annoying.

I agree it's definitely annoying, hopefully it will be addressed in an upcoming patch.

It's happening to me on my Xbox 1! SO ANNOYING! I CANT use bb.moveobjects because the search always pops up!

This still happens so randomly for me. It works fine for a while and then it does it again and keeps doing it. I can go hours or days with no problems and then it's off again, I can't predict it or tie it to a specific occurrence or action. It's been purely random lately. From January patch 1.69 it was more regular and easier to predict, but now it's just at random and then it gets stuck in a loop. I know that doesn't really help to narrow it down to help fix it, so apologies for being so vague.

This is happening to me.. just updated our PS4 to PS5 and I was super excited to play Sims.. now this is happening.. super frustrating..

Still happening on PS5 as of September 4th, 2023.

I don't understand a lot of changes to controls that were made with the Growing Up pack (which I haven't purchased), but it's a huge hindrance for builders. Which just do happens to be what I like to do most, to detach from stress. Now it's super stressful, lol. It's highly obnoxious at best, and nauseating.
