What happens when the bug occurs? Young adults do not get a third trait.
What do you expect to see? A third trait
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Never used.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes
Please describe the patch or change you made. I installed the "High School Years Expansion Pack" and the "Werewolves Game Pack".

Hello All!

Yesterday four teenagers grew up to young adults in my family.
Two had a birthday party celebration, blew out the candles on their birthday cakes and did not (!) get a new third trait.
The other two just blew out the candles on their birthday cake and got a third trait.

Does anybody have this problem recently, too?
I will check again as well with a different family.

PS: The problem appeared in 2017 as well.

I have the same issue! Not just for teens going to young adult, although that is the main error. When aging a child to a teen, i didn't get to pick their aspiration or trait, but going from a child to a teen to a young adult, when they get to young adult I can select their aspiration and other two traits. From a teen to YA to Adult to Elder, no third trait.

I’m on PlayStation… just aged up my twins in a legacy challenge… they did not receive a third trait. 
went into CAS and I’m unable to even select one as only two slots are available.

I do have high school years … but this is generation 5 and it just happened now for the first time.

I’m on PlayStation so no mods or cc … definitely a glitch

any work arounds???? I’m going for a trophy so I can’t cheat anything

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Aging sim wont let me choose traits, etc when using birthday cake
What happens when the bug occurs? Pop up screen wont show up where i can choose traits and stuff. Game continues as normal but the sim has aged (teen to young adult with only 2 traits)
What do you expect to see? Pop up where i can choose traits

Cant use cheats since this is a save where i gather trophies. Havent tried on other sims so i wont mess up this save file.

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Aging up teen sim to young adult
What happens when the bug occurs? The sim will blow out the candles. ”age up,” but won’t receive a third trait or new aspiration choice.
What do you expect to see? The normal aging up process of choosing an aspiration and third trait.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? On console - never used.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure

I have not tried aging up other sims; only two different teens and both didn’t get an option for a third trait or new aspiration. Even though it says they are young adults.

What happens when the bug occurs? It’s only in my main save file. But when I age up a teen sim they don’t get the graduation notification, or the options for a third trait and aspiration change.
What do you expect to see? For my sim to age up normally into a young adult.

I’ve tried a new game and the teens aged up normally there and in the save file that’s not working right; young adults age up like they should. I just want to play my legacy file.
