@capnmaria
I found the cause of this problem. It's all about the high school achievement checkbox, if there is one, then the sim does not get the third trait. I hope my answer is clear and can help someone. I do not know English and will send with an interpreter.

I partially understand. Which achievement checkbox?

@капнмария Progress tick. If your character is different and has a high level of realizability with a tick, then he probably won't get the third trait. The day of the week can also be used. Never do this on a Sunday.

Having the same issue, desperately need this to be fixed. My teen was set to be valedictorian but because of this she got nothing. Not happy.

This happened to me too. I don't use mods. Here's a link to my save file before I aged my two oldest adult teens up.

I have to ask, because I provided EA with a detailed report on what's happening and they ignored it, but are you aging your sims up on SUNDAY? I have found that through my testing on this bug that any teen that ages up on Sunday will have this issue. I experience this issue with no mods installed, but with MCCC installed it solves the problem of the missing trait. However, you may notice that you are not gaining character values. There is a an issue with the coding dealing with the high school pack which is causing this issue. It's due to hastily putting out scripts before they are tested. I have determined that EA has no test environment, We are their testers. We are the team that finds and reports bugs. We should be getting PAID to do this for them. I've already offered my services as a retired DBA. I would bet my life that I could do a much, much better job at finding issues than what EA has been doing.

Again, confirm the day of the week, as most likely it is Sunday that's causing this issue.

@OwlKseniaThank you! This happened to me on console. I found your post and I was trying to do it on a Sunday. It worked fine on Monday!

Sims team - the problem seems to be for me throwing a birthday party for a teen on a Sunday stopped them getting their parenthood traits (manners etc), their third trait and they also didn’t finish school properly, school just disappeared but there was no notification.  No milestone for school.  It’s like they became an adult but didn’t ‘complete’ teen.

There wasn’t a problem just blowing out the candles at the sims house with no party, it’s the party itself that is the problem.  Like with the toddler trait bug, a new player might not know to look and just think this is normal.

I was on console so no cc or save.  I have all packs except some kit.

I had the same problem tonight on Mac - but both with and without a birthday party (just aging up with a birthday cake.) The one with the cake was for sure on Sunday - I didn't save and will try again on a different day, and I can't remember which day the birthday party was. I think it was Sunday though. Sigh...

It's clearly not solved yet. I'm having the same issue, it doesn't matter on which day the party is, or if it's with or without a party Frown

Even tried force-aging my sim on the last day.

The teen doesn't get any parental traits (responsible etc.), third character trait, any info about graduating, nothing...

Very unhappy
