[NEEDS SAVES] Sims stop cooking [ Edited ]

What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All except the latest (paid) kit, MWS, the werewolf pack, and HSY.
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Have a sim cook or do canning.
What happens when the bug occurs? The sim will just stop at some point during the process and either put the pot/bowl/cutting board/whatever on the floor or leave it on the stove, and the action will drop from the queue.
What do you expect to see? The sim to finish cooking without deciding to stop midway.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? On console - never used.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes
Please describe the patch or change you made. This started happening with the patch before this one, I think, and it's even more frequent now. Before, it would happen maybe 4-5 out of 10 times, now it's 8 out of 10 times a sim cooks anything at all.

Needless to say, this is very frustrating. I don't like having to babysit sims for yet another thing that they just decide to stop doing for no discernible reason. Other actions frequently drop from the queue (male sims queued to use the toilet, for one example), but not with this annoying regularity. The cooking can be resumed after it gets dropped, but it's still irritating.

@Uigenna Do you have enough room in your kitchen ? enough free counters ?

Have you tested if the same happens with another house ?

@crinrict Considering I said I can resume after the drop, yes, there's enough counter space and room. And this happens with all houses and all sims. If it's important, my sims are using the unbreakable chef stoves from Dine Out, not the regular stoves, but it still happens infrequently with the regular stoves.

@Uigenna There were issues before where they tried to use a blocked counter somewhere else and resuming solved that issue so it would still be good if you could test another house.

@crinrict There's no route failure when they're cooking, it just drops from the queue before they're done. And I said it happens in all households with all sims.

@Uigenna I've seen this happen (not every time). It's like the sim gets forgetful; distracted by something else. The sim usually leaves it on the cabinet in which it was cooking/prepping the food.

I'm having the same problem.  I just launched my game after a six month hiatus, so because I updated to the current patch, I removed all my mods and CC before starting a new game.  (I didn't want to go through the effort of figuring out what mods needed updating.)  Had a problem with Bob Pancakes, in his default house.  (He has PLENTY of counters.  Not the issue.)  After each cooking step he would simply drop the queue and stop cooking.  I could then resume cooking by clicking the cutting board, but after each step I had to resume his cooking.  Eventually he completed the dish, but I had to resume after each step was completed.  It's almost as though he had the Dazed moodlet and kept forgetting what he's doing, but he actually had the Inspired moodlet.

Can't say when this bug started, because I haven't played in several months.  Since no one else has reported it, my guess is that it's from the latest patch, which was only a few days ago.  It's a brand new game, with no Sims other than the default families.

I have no idea if any other kind of crafting has this problem as well.  I didn't play long enough to find out, and I'm not really inclined to at this point.

I'm having this issue now too.  Different houses, different counters and appliances.  No routing issues, no complaints or interruptions from my Sim... she just stops cooking in the middle of every meal.  I have to put her back to cooking multiple times before she'll finish a meal.

It happens when cooking meals, about halfway through prep and/or when a pan is on the stove.

What happens when the bug occurs? 

They will either immediately set the tray down on another surface, not an available worktop and usually walk to the dining room or put the prep tray on top of a shelf or unit. Or they will just stop and leave the pan on the stove.

What do you expect to see?

For them to carry on cooking.

So this started happening with the patch a couple of weeks ago. It happens at the home lot and while on vacation. I tested it while getting her to prepare 5 meals to see how many times it happened and she stopped twice while just preparing a fruit salad, walking past available counter tops and putting the prep tray on the dining table. She then stopped with the next meal and left the pan on the stove. Then she cooked 3 meals without stopping. So it was 2 out of 5. I feel like it's worse when she's hungry and it hasn't happened with the bbq. It did happen while roasting hot dogs and veggie dogs over a fire pit after completing the mountain climbing expedition.

I have a problem since patch 1.76 with actions vanishing from the queue more than usual so I'm assuming a link. I've moved to a fresh household now and will carry on monitoring it.
