I'm wondering if maybe it's something that's making the game register the residential lots as community ones because most of the time you can't even find an ask to leave dialogue option (which has always been there) let alone the new send home one. When I try and shoo the sim they usually just go into another room and wreck something out of anger so that doesn't work. The only success I've had is just keeping all my doors locked which only helps if you pay attention to them and make sure to relock them after letting wanted NPCs in. I originally thought the issue might've been with eco living because it happened to me the most on power conservation day, instead of passing NPCs, it was like the whole town made my house a hangout spot for the day. Since people without the pack have this issue that means it's not the root of the cause, I didn't notice it until the patch that actually added the send home option, it worked fine up until that power conservation day and after that sims wander in for me. Do you guys notice anything at all when it first started? Maybe it's so small as that we all have the same light fixture in 3 different spots on our lot which causes all this for some unknown reason, it could literally be anything. Let's hope they get to it soon, there are other bugs that I can shrug off for a while like the sage and basil bushes changing form after harvested, but ones like this where I have to find workarounds makes me want to play the game less because It feels like a chore to just play it.

Yeah I'm wondering the same thing. Now that I have been locking my doors and making the residence a private dwelling, it seems that my sims friends have been showing up nonstop uninvited. They come up and ring the doorbell as if the private dwelling trait isnt there at all. THEN THEY STAY for hours to the point where the time won't speed up when my sims are sleeping bc the game is reading that they have company (although they were never invited and I never got a notification that they were just "popping in"). I just installed Get Together, Outdoor Retreat, and toddler stuff. My sims are now living in Windenburg and that is where this new thing started where their friends ring doorbell or show up like they have been invited. It's not as bad as the other issue with all the random townies coming into the homes and never leaving. I'm just hoping it gets fixed because my gameplay has been lackluster since my sims can only communicate with invited guests OUTSIDE of their home because I am scared to unlock it and have to ask 10 random people to leave along with my friends. I really wanna throw parties and not with Get Together be able to meet with the group and not have to keep unlocking and locking my doors back at super speed so I don't have random townies ruining my home, setting fires, spending my sims food by cooking, etc. It's like they have access like someone in the family would once they're in the home...I've had instances of random townies bypassing room locks and sleeping in my sim's bed.

I had a Sim show up uninvited and start swimming in my other Sims’ pool. She was there for hours and said “Thanks for hanging out with me” when she left. My other Sims had just moved to a new house, so they hadn’t given anyone a key to the house. She came when my other Sims were sleeping. The doors were locked to anyone but household.

Unwanted Visitors keep entering my sims house

[ Edited ]

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Often (50% - 99%)
What is your current game version number? 1.65.70.1020
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? Island Living, Get Famous, Seasons, Pets, City Living, Get Together, Get to work, Jungle Adventure, Parenthood, Vampires, Dine out and Outdoor Retreat.
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Literally play the game for a bit..
What happens when the bug occurs? I've played in different worlds (starting in San Myshuno) and I've always had random NPCS enter my house/apartment and use my utilities, eat my food, go on my computer, watch TV, shower, etc, and there is no 'Ask to leave' interaction, and no 'Send Everyone Home' interaction either. They either leave after a while, and if they don't leave, I literally delete them from the game.
What do you expect to see? NPCS to not barge into my sims house and use their stuff, and if they do, there should be a ask to leave interaction
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure

The worker for EA who we sent our saves too, have they gotten back to anyone? Make sure you send them your save files. Hopefully, they get around to it soon, it's been weeks unread and I've messaged multiple times without any responses so I don't know if I even sent in the right thing to help them figure out the issue.

Uninvited Sims Walking into Homes

★ Guide

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Often (50% - 99%)
What is your current game version number? 1.65.70.1020
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All but Nifty Knitting, Realm of Magic, and My First Pet Stuff
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Just play in a household long enough for it to happen.
What happens when the bug occurs? Nothing really happens, per say. NPCs and even playable but inactive sims just walk into the house as if they were invited.
What do you expect to see? No one should come over unless they have a key or they've been invited.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes
Please describe the patch or change you made. This was the pre-Eco Living patch. The one that introduced the new bill system, off the grid stuff, etc.

I have noticed this problem with and without mods installed. Random sims (NPCs, playable, all of them) will randomly walk into the active household as if they have a key or were invited but have neither. The house I was playing with yesterday had 4 visitors at once! The house I'm in as I type this (no mods) just had two visitors. I understand that I could lock the doors, but why should that be necessary? This never used to happen before. Then I'll have to constantly lock and unlock doors when I do invite sims to come over. Both households I'm playing with just happen to be pretty big celebrities, but I've heard other players say it happens to non-celebrities too. Oh, also, both of these households were in Newcrest.

@Jes2G I've seen this happen a lot too. I've noticed that it frequently happens in the evergreen harbor apartments, most of the apartments in san myshuno (particularly the ones in the arts quarter), and the "Kin-Ship" house in sulani. "Pier Perfection" can also trigger the bug if you add an ocean ladder; NPC sims will swim to the ladder, climb up, and hang out in the house for a while.
