[NEEDS SAVES] [MFPSP] Unable to feed+clean cage of rodents [ Edited ]

How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? 1.69.59.1020
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All except Journey To Batuu.
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Purchase any rodent cage and return to Live Mode.
What happens when the bug occurs? When the rodent in the cage becomes hungry, the "feed" option remains unavailable. The rodent eventually dies of starvation, giving my Sims negative moodlets.
What do you expect to see? I'd like to see rodents that my Sims can properly care for.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? No

Rodent cage in need of attention/feeding. Mr. Jiggle died of starvation shortly after this screenshot was taken, and was replaced with Mr. Jiggle 2, who suffered a similar fate. I stopped replacing them after that and left the cage empty as decoration.

Is there a message when you hover over the unavailable option ?

I am having the same issue and for me the options for "Clean Habitat" and "Fill Food" are unavailable (greyed out). I also don't have any mods or cc.

I haven't tested but it's possible a patch broke the object.

It tells me that I can't clean the cage because it is already clean and I can't fill the food because it is already full but when I hover over the cage it will tell me that the rodent is starving

There is an old, closed thread about this, so making a new one.  What I've found, that when your rodent is only on okay for hunger, you can keep giving it treats till it's full and hopefully it won't die.  I'm on my third rodent in as many days ( all the others died of starvation just after they were content and full, left the room for a minute and on returning, they had no options to feed) so this one, I hope to keep alive by constantly keeping it full with treats!  I shall report back my findings.  But please can this be fixed because it's not like we're negelecting them for long periods of time, they just get blocked by a bug (presumably a bug) from being given food.  If that's part of the gameplay, then that's cruel, inhumane and unrealistic.  Thank you.

Edit to add: I can confirm that feeding treats every few minutes solves the problem.  However, they should be able to eat the food from their dish.  These critters are hard work, but it's not impossible (if you can be bothered!).

I don't know when this started because I play rotationally. I lost 2 rats in 2 Sim weeks. After the first died of starvation, I kept checking on the second constantly. The option to fill its food container was never available, it was always full. Tried in a new vanilla game. Same.

I don't often play with the rodents but on my new save that is NO mods or cc at all, I decided to try them out. The options to feed or clean are greyed out completely. The cage did become dirty and my sim autonomously cleaned the cage but there is no option to feed at all. I am unsure when this started because I've played with this feature much prior to recently.

@Keijra With your save being pristinely mod free, you have a golden opportunity to provide the save for the devs to help figure out this bug so if you could create a backup copy of the save right now to be sent for the devs I'd consider you as our hero!
