I finally played this myself and had no issues doing the arrests.

It seems there's a tendency of the game getting stuck before the fight occurs. Did any of you have the fight occur ?

I had that ones when getting escorted out of the resistance camp. Pressing ESC seems got the game unstuck for me though

@crinrict Nah. all 3 of my sims had a fight, then went in to arrest and the game got stuck.

Crinrict, one question I have is was your droid out and on follow protocol when you made the arrest? I am noticing the game being very glitchy placing commands to your sim while the follow protocol on your droid is active VS your droid being told to wait somewhere or being stored in your inventory instead.

The same thing is happening to me. I have never used any mods or cc. Prior to doing the mission where you had to arrest three "resistance sympathizers" I could check ID as normal. Following that mission, every Batuu Citizen I use the Check ID interaction on triggers the arrest fight. I win the fight and then both my sim and the sim I fought with is frozen. I have tried every work around suggested and none of them work. I have to quit without saving and reload. I think it is a conflict between the aspiration goals and the missions. If you haven't completed the Enforcer of Order "Do Not Resist" part of the aspiration where you need to check the ID of 5 Batuu citizens when you accept the mission "Resisting Arrest" you can (and probably will) trigger the bug the next time you Check ID after completing "Resisting Arrest".

What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? Get to Work, Journey to Batuu, Cats and Dogs, Discover University, Island Living, Realm of Magic, Strangerville, Vampires, Romantic Garden Stuff, and Vintage Glamor Stuff.
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? In Journey to Batuu, whenever my First Order sim checks the ID of a resistance member, they fight and then my First Order sim goes to "escort the prisoner"
What happens when the bug occurs? Neither sim moves during the "escort" and the whole game stops (cannot save with escort in progress, cannot change location with escort in progress, testing cheat of reset_sim does not solve the problem when used on either sim, no other actions can be given to the sim at all), but strangely the affected sim will eventually walk away to execute independent whims, but will not allow and actions to be given.
What do you expect to see? I expect my First Order sim to walk the resistance member to the Tie Echlon for arrest then go on to the next command.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Never used.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? No

@WellThatWasDumb I was looking at this page to get answers because I just had this problem too. I tried arresting different people but it did not work for 5-6 times. Then I out my droid out and engaged follow protocol, checked someones ID and it actually worked and I escorted the prisoner. I don’t know if this would work for you guys but it did for me. So, give it a try!

Same bug here! Every time and losing progress because unable to save. Why isn’t this fixed yet? Anyone knows a workaround?

I just had this problem for the first time today. What I did was shift+right clicked on the person I was arresting and clicked on "destroy object (debug)". The person comes back, don't worry, but it'll get you unstuck. Hope this helps.
